It all started in 1975 when Dinos Lontzetidis founder of DL SAILS company, having been sailing since 9 years old, created a small loft for making and repairing sails.
In 1979 he launched DL SAILS company and in 1981 he started making sports sails in collaboration with prominent tailors and designers from France, where he stayed for a small period of time. He took part in many races, while DL SAILS products have won many awards.
During the 90’s DL SAILS starts collaborating with big renting yacht companies and moreover many DL SAILS products get exported to various European countries. Customers trust in DL SAILS set the foundation for the rapid growth of the company in the sail making field.
Nowadays the second generation of Lontzetidis family have taken over. Aristotelis Lontzetidis following in his fathers’ footsteps has been involved with sailing from a very early age and has participated in many sailing races up until now. Dinos Lontzetidis still supervises the company.
The 45-year-old experience, the know-how, the state of art equipment, the strict material selection criteria as well as the fine quality of sailmaking have driven DL SAILS to a very high level, therefore being concidered as one of the greatest sail making companies in south east Europe, exporting products all over Europe.
