All MULTI HULL MAIN SAILS of DL SAILS are designed with a special simulation program, the specific characteristics and take into account the elements of the boat and the conditions required.
The two different designs ROUND HEAD or SQUARE TOP cover all the requirements
for ideal sailing pleasure or performance.
Full-length Round battens and special adjustment systems are common to support the larger roach (curvature) and maintain sail shape.
Battens also help in better reefing and flaking of the sail.
Flat Shape DL SAILS Multihulls have less heeling compared to monohulls, which allows for flatter sails to maximize forward drive and reduce drag.
Flat sails are also easier to handle in stronger winds.
High Aspect Ratio: Many multihull mainsails have a high aspect ratio (taller and narrower) to reduce drag and improve upwind performance.
Depending on the fabric, cutting is done with a Plotter Cutter or Laser Cutter. all seams are made after gluing the panels with double-sided silicone adhesive tape, which makes
the seam very strong and prevents moisture from penetrating between the panels. The finishes are handmade, based on the quality of strong materials such as leather, etc. provide protection, durability and good appearance.
Before shipment, each sail is checked for both its exact dimensions and any errors.
Each sail is printed with the type of boat, its dimensions and its production number.
