It all began in 1975 when Dinos Lontzetidis, an avid sailor since the age of nine, established a small loft dedicated to making and repairing sails. With passion and dedication, he officially launched DL Sails in 1979. By 1981, he was collaborating with renowned sail designers and craftsmen in France, gaining valuable expertise that would shape the future of DL Sails. Over the years, our sails have powered countless races and earned numerous accolades.
Throughout the 1990s, DL Sails expanded its reach, forming key partnerships with major yacht charter companies and exporting products across Europe. Today, the company is led by the second generation, with Aristotelis Lontzetidis carrying forward his father’s legacy, deeply involved in sailing and competitive racing. Meanwhile, Dinos Lontzetidis continues to oversee operations, ensuring that our heritage of craftsmanship and quality remains intact.
